Discussions start to create a new supplier of sustainable corrugated boards. with the commitment to provide quality products with a great service strategy.

CorrBoard UK is created as a privately-owned enterprise, and the first sheets of corrugated board are manufactured and supplied to customers across the UK. 

Significant changes within the structure of the business occur, with new shareholders in place, aimed at providing the same great service even easier.

Additional sustainability is encouraged as a joint venture adjacent to CorrBoard’s site between two consortium members, Swanline and McLaren is established. CorrBoard UK connects to the new Anaerobic Digester plant, supplying electricity and heat with 100% renewable biogas to ensure carbon-neutral manufacture, a world-first in sheet feeding. 

CorrBoard received new investment from two of its major shareholders. VPK Group increased its shareholding to become a 50% shareholder, through a subscription for new shares and the acquisition of the stake of former shareholder Garthwest. McLaren Packaging, one of CorrBoard’s founding partners, also subscribed for new shares.
